Strictly favourite and serial semi-finalist AJ Pritchard is back out on the road in 2020 after his debut tour in 2019, Along with his brother Curtis Pritchard who is best known from the 2019 summer Love Island show, where Curtis was a finalist.
AJ Live 2020 will combine the best moments from Strictly you know and love, intertwined with new energy-packed choreography for all the family, from AJ, Curtis and his pick of the best new dance talent in the UK.
A bit about AJ…
AJ was born Alex Joseph Pritchard in Stoke On Trent, 24 years ago. Aged 12, AJ began dancing under the guidance of his father Adrian – a former world champion level dancer and BBC Come Dancing professional.
Partnering with Chloe Hewitt he went on to represent Great Britain around the world, winning the National Youth Championships 3 years consecutively between 2012 and 2014. 2015 saw more accolades with the partnership winning the British Open Youth Latin Champions and the European Youth Latin Champions. In 2013 AJ & Chloe after being approached by Britain’s Got Talent made it to the semi-finals of the programme and won a whole new fanbase, performing in front of and impressing judges including Simon Cowell.
In 2016 AJ was approached to join the cast of smash hit BBC 1 series Strictly Come Dancng, where he made it to the semi-finals with his first celebrity dance partner the Olympian Claudia Fragapane.
2017 saw a similar success level and the continuation of his popularity when he partnered with former The Saturday’s singer Mollie King, again making it to the semi-finals. 2018 saw AJ branch out into other television and media work including the formation of a relationship with CBBC where he has presented Blue Peter and hosted many other digital and online campaigns, hosting a show for BBC Radio 1, reaching the semi-finals of Celebrity Masterchef and winning Channel 4’s Celebrity Hunted for Stand Up To Cancer. 2018 also once again saw AJ in the semi-finals of Strictly Come Dancing with his partner Paralympian Lauren Steadman. AJ undertook his own debut solo UK tour Get On The Floor in March 2019.
A bit about Curtis…
Curtis Pritchard who is is 23 years of age is an English dancer and choreographer too, known for his role as a professional dancer on the Irish version of Dancing With The Stars. In 2019, Pritchard appeared in the fifth series of the British dating reality series Love Island, making it all the way to the final’s finishing in fourth place.
Most recently Curtis Prichard is also known for his receptionist role on the BBC show Greatest Dancer which is to be aired in January 2020, as well as hosting films for ITV’s Lorraine programme.
